Our expertise
Gate motor brands we repair
We repair most major makes of gate automation, including:
FAAC
BFT
CAME
Nice
Roger Technology
Beninca
Ditec
Hörmann
Somfy
Sommer
Elite Automation
Centurion
Your gate is not on the list? Send a photo of the control box and the label on the motor. That is usually enough to identify it. We do not need the exact model to start.
Fault code example
Example: a Roger swing gate showing fault code EE25
A fault code on the control box is the gate telling you where to look. A code that starts with EE on a Roger board usually points to the control board, not the motor.
On many Roger boards, EE means a stored setting has an invalid value. The board then locks and will not run the gate until the setting is corrected. The number that follows identifies the setting, and it differs between board models, so we check the manual for your exact board.
Common causes
- A power surge or a power cut during a change of settings
- Damp or corrosion inside the control box
- An ageing board or a failing memory chip
- A flat or failed backup battery, where one is fitted
What you can do safely
- Switch the power off at the isolator, wait five seconds and switch it back on.
- If the code returns, stop there. The control box holds live mains electricity, so leave it closed.
- Note the code, the make and any label details, and call us.
What we do
- Identify the exact control board and find its manual.
- Read the stored setting and restore the correct value, or reset the board to its defaults.
- Re-learn the gate travel and reset speed, force and pause times.
- Test the photocells, safety edges and obstruction detection.
- Replace the board only if the code returns after a reset.
Lost the release key?
A gate you cannot release by hand is a problem if the power fails. Tell us the make and model. We will source a replacement release key or fit an alternative where one is available. Until then, keep the gate secured and do not force the lock.
